babysteps 48 Posted July 10, 2012 The RNY I have a 6 mo time line tho not to bad will have all the money and some saved by then I'm in Ohio tg it's not as costly here think the hardest part right now is the stop smoking that's why the 6mo 3 has to be smoke free lol
Mistyeyes76 2 Posted July 11, 2012 Lol....Just go home from the seminar and was told that I have to 3 months with no smoking before the surgery. Guess tomorrow will be my starting date to quit. Oh boy it's gonna be rough....Good luck Babysteps

Mistyeyes76 2 Posted July 11, 2012 I agree it's gonna be very hard and VERY stressful. I have been smoking since I was 14 and I am now 35. It's my stress releif with having a 16, 13, 4, and 2 year old..lol. But I look at it this way we will be healtier people for it
dstollery 290 Posted July 11, 2012 I quit 5.5 years ago. Smoked for almost 10 years. I threw en away one day after emt class learning about mouth to stoma CPR. 1.5 packs a day and have touched em since. I stayed to myself for 2 weeks. Then I started hanging out with the smokers again. It was weird but the social time made it not so hard even though I was around smokers. They all knew I quit and all knew not to offer or give if I asked. Hang in there, you CAN do it

lovealways 287 Posted July 11, 2012 I've been a smoker for 12 years, and I'm on day 5 of no smoking! It's been rough, but getting easier. I am taking Chantix, and it does wonders. If it's an option for you, look into it!
