Question.....matrix Sustained Release Protein Powder?

OK today I just found out my antidepressant isn't doing any good since it was a sustained release tablet. Grrrr......(stupid PCP) And I was just making my Protein Shake for today and noticed it says Matrix 5.0 sustained release formula? Is this the same principle? I would just cry if I have been drinking this all month and no nutrients are being absorbed? Anyone drink this too?
