preshiz pink 31 Posted July 8, 2012 Lately I've been buying lean cuisine dinners to see if I like them. I've brought some skinny cow chocolate truffle pop sickles, sugar free strawberry Jello and chocolate pudding I also got a Protein Plus from bolthouse farms that has 64g of protein in it. That's all I have so far but does anybody know any other things I should be getting or cutting out completely?
atcgoddess1 37 Posted July 8, 2012 Cut out everything with sugar in it. Don't buy a lot of Protein Shakes or supplements. I did and I ended up not liking a bunch of them. On celebratevitamins.com you can order a variety pack of chike shakes and on bariatriacadvantage.com you can buy Syntrax Nectar Protein samples. Other good web sites are theworldaccordingtoeggface.com - mybariatricpantry.com
jenneliza 257 Posted July 8, 2012 I would see what the post op requirements are? Will you be on low carb or Clear Liquids for long? Will you be in a blenderized phase long? If so you may want to invest in a blender. I bought a few new blender/shaker bottles and a magic bullet, baby spoons, and tiny tupperware containers.
preshiz pink 31 Posted July 8, 2012 Yea my computer is acting a bit crazy at the moment so I won't be able to buy anything off line besides I'm not familiar with online shopping anyways. I went with my gmom the other day to target and Kholes and we seen the Magic bullet an the Ninja but wasn't sure which to get. I also told her I needed some of the containers and baby spoons too but I kind of don't have the money at the Moment :/ but I guess when I get it I will stock up. But on the brightside I did buy a Blender Bottle with a ball thing in it!! It's super cute! Is there anything else I should pick up as far as utensils are concerned?? DLCoggin 1,788 Posted July 20, 2012 Protein. Now is a great time to do some experimenting. Taste is very subjective so it's difficult to make specific recommendations. EAS (Myoplex), Muscle Milk, Pure Protein, Unjury, Syntrax - all good options but there are dozens more. Buy one at a time and see which one you like the best. Once you find one you like, most manufacturers make their most popular flavors in powdered form - cuts your cost by about 50% versus the ready-to-drink shakes. Protein is vitally important post-op so you want to be ready when the time comes. You're gonna love the new you!!
