This is probably a little TMI but I'll just say it lol so I was feeling horrible after eating a few crackers so I made myself throw up. The only weird thing was is that I only threw up clear looking liquid.. Is this normal. Please do not judge me for making myself throw up. I sat here for almost 2 hours with no relief after walking and trying other things to make the feeling pass.

I also have done that when I've eaten something that didnt agree with me. I would rather throw it up then sit in agony for an hour. Don't feel bad it's ok:-)

I usually know within a couple bites of something if its going to settle with me. It's when I don't listen to my pouch that I get in trouble and feel that way. No judgement here just had that happen to me a couple of days ago.

I have had to do this many times actually....I ate chicken and then tried to eat it the next day as leftover and it was not settling with my pouch at all. Same thing happened with steamed brocoli one time too. It seems like my pouch does not handle anything heated up in the micowave. I think it makes it too dry. I also was bad and ate some movie theatre popcorn and had to do the same thing. No body should judge anyone on here. We are all here to help eachother out not to put someone down. The only thing I worry about with you, myself and anyone else in here...could this lead to an eating disorder where we eat what we are not supposed to and then go throw it up? I have read lots of articles where this does happen to some people. I feel like being aware of it makes it less likely for it to happen.

I understand what you are saying about the eating disorder. But personally once I have to throw something up or gag on it I feel as if I never wanna touch it again lol. But it could be an issue though if someone were to repeatedly... I never really thought of that!

I don't feel bad... you are not judged, I know in about 1 minute if something is not going down right or I have not chewed it well. When my pouch says "hey...you dummy you did not chew that well enough" I don't even have to stick my finger down my throat it just comes up with a little push/cough from me - its weired. The only advise I can give you and I am still giving my self that advise is to chew-chew-chew-chew. After I have eaten something that I did not chew well enough you would think that the food would come up but it is just tons of sylvia and lots of bubbles.. I call it the foamies !!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
