mary818 66 Posted July 6, 2012 I need some encouragement. I am five days out and the scale says I have gained a pound! WHAT????? That is quite normal believe it or not between swelling and Water retention the scale may show a gain. Please don't be discouraged! My best advice is to step away from the scale for a week or two. We trend to agonize over the numbers on the scale but they are just that, numbers! Try to focus on the positive changes you have been making in your life and know you can and will accomplish your goals! The healthier you is just around the corner... Hang on and enjoy the journey! DLCoggin 1,788 Posted July 6, 2012 Absolutely nothing to worry about. I so agree with Mary - focus on following the protocol and staying away from the scales for a couple of weeks! You'll be glad you did and the result will definitely put a smile on your face!
