lotstolose 23 Posted July 2, 2012 Surgery went well thanks for the support. One question though how long does the pressure last in the upper belly it is terrible. 2 my3stars and nomorefat reacted to this
bellepink77 44 Posted July 2, 2012 Start walking the more you walk the faster it goes away. I know I wanted to slap everyone who told me to walk but it works 1 Mrs.D reacted to this
mary818 66 Posted July 3, 2012 Agreed try to walk as much as possible, it helps to relieve some of that pressure. You'll be feeling better soon. Congrats on the surgery! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!
Kayla Theriot 7 Posted July 3, 2012 The gas defiantly goes away with walking and believe it or not it even helped with my pain. pre surgery weight 310 • RNY 6/20/2012 • current weight

Beachbum 70 Posted July 3, 2012 The gas pressure was awful for me too. It lasts several hours. I had one pocket right under my rib cage and the next day in my side. Walking - yes! I also found changing position helped alot too. I must have used 10 pillows to support my moving around . Gas pains stopped by day 3 - relatively short span of time though painful . Hang in there... It gets better."

bellepink77 44 Posted July 3, 2012 It took me a couple of days to fart LOL. Burping was no problem. The gas they blow u up with is in your abdomen not ur digestive tract so it dissapates as u move around it doesn't come out of you orifices
