Did you have tail bone issues prior to surgery? When i was pregnant with my daughter she basically bent my tail bone and I 've had issues ever since. So i'm not looking forward to that part. But I'll take the good with the bad...

I never had any problems pre op. it's bad now. I can't work for more than two hours without taking a walking break.

Something I thought about... Maybe our spines are repositioning due to less weight in the abdominal area???? Never the less it hurts like a you know what!

I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with having less padding? Just a thought.

You might think about a Chiropractic adjustment.

@ Kevin- the problem with such extreme weightloss is that it takes the padding as little as it may have been in the first place, and shifts things around. All the padding you once had around your tailbone has headed south. Even If it's not something you notice. Your best bet is a pillow either one you have at home or the round ones made just for that reason the ones shaped like a doughnut. To fix said problem there are tush tightening and toning exersises you can do. Try holding a chair in front of you, bend one knew and swing the bent leg behind you. Do it slowly and you will feel the glutes flex. Keep doing reps on each leg and in time the you will tone and build up enough to keep you from sitting on your tailbone. Do stay off it because bruises take so long to heal and you can also cause a stress fracture. Doesn't matter how silly you feel sitting on a pillow, because if you don't now, after the damage is done you will be anyway. I hope that helped. Feel better.

My goodness! I'm so sorry to read about this. Gosh! That's one problem I don't have. What about using one of those inflatable donuts? That might help, albeit a temporary solution.

That's right try the inflatable donuts.

I am starting to feel bones and muscles in my body that I was never able to before. I always had a flat wife ass , and now any padding I had is gone. I feel for ya... Pillow is probably best idea.

having an alignment done is probably not a bad idea, though i am with Choatica on this one, The exercises to tighten up muscle groups that support your gluteus maximus or in your case minimus would be very helpfull. =) I used to have a, how did the gf put it, heart shaped butt, but now, its kinda like a rolo candy. ROFL.

Please follow up and let us know what you find that works!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
