I tried some M&M's, I had about 5 when my sweet tooth woke up. Nothing happened (dumping) etc.

I don't want or want anyone experiencing dumping so I'm suggesting sugarfree chocolate. If you are doing fine with regular chocolate that's cool but we don't want to fall back on old habits & gain weight.

Hi everyone! I am new here and 8 years out since my RNY.....I am doing very well and after my Honeymoon period my body felt more comfortable to gain back 20 of the 130 lbs which my Dr. Said is perfectly normal. Ok, so that's me in a nutshell. What I want to tell all of you is........DO NOT TEST THE WATERS! You may think that since you tried the M & M's and did not dump you are safe. WRONG! The more you test the more you want.....take it from me I AM NOW A SUGARHOLIC! Just this week I BEGGED my Dr to put me on a strict sugar free diet. Since Wednesday I have lost 4 lbs. I am determined to get to my original goal weight of 155.

What I forgot to mention is......if you are craving sweets have a Protein bar.....if you are craving salt have some cashews!

Your right! Do you think sugar free is ok to have during your period? I'm not a sweet or chocolate fan but during Tom I do eat a (not several) sugar free dove chocolate & it makes me feel better. chips is no good but can't have cashew(dealing with keeping food down still vomiting will have 1 mth tomorrow)

I would suggest staying away from

Sugar free! Although youth think its " sugar fee " itore than likely is loaded with sugar alcohol. sugar free candy makes me dump believe it or not so I make sure I stay away from that stuff. Try not to start on the chocolate or chips again! I now on a carb free, sugar free diet to break my sugar addiction. My goal is 20 lbs by the end of the summer. I keep telling myself that every 5 lbs is a bag of sugar (lol how ironic)

Tberry thank you for sharing those words of wisdom. I was just making a similar point in a different thread. I will take your experience and use it to my advantage. I'm always trying to build upon and grow from hearing others stories and this was one a lot of us needed to hear.

Also good luck with breaking your sugar jones...
