Canadian- February 2007 Goals

Recommended Posts

Well, I actually made my Feb goal....and early to boot!! My weight goal was to be 200 lbs and as of Sat, the scale read 200; so I'm a happy camper!

As for the Feb goal of "not being so hard on myself"....I'm better but not quite there yet!!

:)

Well I have for sure made my goals that I set for Feb.

Goal one was not to die and get through the operation okay. Check Yes for that one. :clap2: (Becca you did it too!!!)

Second Goal was to loose 10 pounds, and 18.6 pounds later that goal is a check yes too. :)

Now to think of the goal to set for March. Time goes by way too quick! :omg:

10 days to go....... 8 lbs to go.......

this is a very slow process for me, i just can't shed the lbs.

and am feeling very discouraged.

for the tlbc people..... did u you have meetings with anyone after your

procedure other than getting a fill?

Other than a brief telephone call asking how I was feeling the day after my surgery, I have not met or spoken with anyone from TLBC.

Yoda,

Way to go! Bet you're feeling great and I know it's hard not being so hard on yourself. Since the de-fill I'm feeling better (and as you said I noticed I'm still the same - which is better than gaining!) now I'm fighting a cold that a co-worker brought to work but still heading to the gym on a daily basis - maybe I can sweat the cold out!!

Any advice for a plateau? Although the inches are still falling.

Hey.... as long as you are losing inches....forget the plateau issue or that you aren't losing lbs!!! It is the inches that realllllly count!!! (although I know it is hard to wrap our heads around that!).

Glad u r feelin' better since your defill Roxanne!

Thanks! Yeah, it's sometimes easy to forget those other rewards when the scale seems to be stuck. But I'm looking forward to a trip to the states for clothes shopping over Easter (Yeah!!!)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
