momof6 35 Posted June 20, 2012 My husband and I are having ours done together this summer.I am waiting 2 Weeks after his surgery to do mine. Hoping that will give him enough time to heal enough to help me post op. Any other couples that have done it together? Suggestions?

momof6 35 Posted June 26, 2012 My husband and I are at the end of our pre-op check list.. We Have our EEG's this Saturday and we will be ready to schedule surgery dates a week later. But, I guess knowing that it will be a while before I can have my favorite foods, I have been eating more than I ever have. I know I wont have a problem changing my diet once the Doctor schedules my surgery, but I just want to know is this normal? I feel almost like I havent had to really watch my diet as much because help is on the way... Then I feel so guilty... Anyone else have this issue before surgery? Melsauve 76 Posted July 10, 2012 Before I had my surgery I made sure to eat all my favorite meals. I guess I was afraid I would never be able to eat them again. Now I can eat them but in moderation and not as often. Some stuff I dont even want anymore. Good luck to you and your husband:-)
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted July 10, 2012 Good Luck to all the couples doing it together.
Kellyk2511 282 Posted July 10, 2012 I wish my husband would do this with me. I'm still trying to convince him to get on board for me to do it. He thinks it's the easy way out and I just need to try harder. Ugh. I'm doing this though. 2 Sparklette and TinyMamiOf3kids reacted to this
momof6 35 Posted August 8, 2012 So change of plans, my husband started the police academy and has lost alot of wieght and looks great (I always thought so anyway). As for me, my surgery is finally scheduled, September 10th.. Excited and nervous at the same time. More nervous about missing work, I think. Anyway... That is my bit for the day.. Any tips for my week long, pre op liquid diet? 1 rabrijumo reacted to this
rabrijumo 140 Posted August 8, 2012 Hi I am scheduled for September 25 and am doing an extra week of Optifast to get myself ready pre op. I am on day two and I feel ok. Staying at my desk for lunch cuz I don't want to smell the cafeteria.
