If you are interested talking to them, the group name is Pregnant after Weight Loss Surgery. Good Luck to you!
nawnndawn 2 Posted June 29, 2012 Did anyone get pregnant before the recommended 12-16 months? If so' date=' how much weight gain? Any complications? Were you able to have natural childbirth?[/quote'] Hey Aqua! I had two post op pregnancies. I got pregnant with my first 14 months out. I had one complication and that was as soon as I got pregnant my hypertension came back so I was immediately high risk. I delived at 39 weeks, with a vaginal delivery and gained 25 pounds. I couldn't get the weight off though that was the hard part no matter what I did I couldn't lose it. Two years later I got pregnant with my son. Had gestational diabetes with him. Hypotension lol go figure right never thought I'd have low blood pressure. I had a vaginal delivery with him as well at 39 weeks 3 days. I'm more then happy to answer any questions you have. Let me know if I can help you any more! dawn

nawnndawn 2 Posted June 30, 2012 Hello - were u trying to get pregnant? Did you use any form of birth control? Are you asking me? Yes both of my pregnancies were planned. I was told to wait at least 14 month after surgery to try and get pregnant so I started trying right a soon as I hit that mark. Lol
farzu 0 Posted July 8, 2012 Hello, I had my surgery in March 23rd this year and just found out that i'm pregnant just 3 months 10 days later. even after using contraception. Oh GOD i'm soo much worried now. Do you know anyone who is in the same situation like myself? I spoke with the GP and they referred me to the same hospital where i had my surgery. I'm so worried about what will happen. I have been trying for a baby for last 9 years before surgery and never god pregnant. but didn't want it to happen so soon after surgery. I have lost about 25kg after surgery and now my weight is 74kg. My diabetes and blood pressure both in control but i'm still worried. please help.

farzu 0 Posted July 19, 2012 farzu- What is your current treatment? im 2 1/2 months post op and pregnant and being treated like an alien!!!! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk Hi, first of all congratulations to you. I'm on the same boat. Too much worried at the moment. Saw my OB, diabetic nurse, dietetian and midwife already. Had an ultrasound too. They are trating me as a high risk patient and will closely monitor me for the next 33 weeks. I'm now 7 weeks 3 days. They only saw the yolk sac on the u/s as it was too early to see a baby but assured me it was ok. They also told me check my diabetes abd bp at home. This is my first and i was also using condoms given by my gp. Where r u from? I'm from london, england. My dietetian said i will keep on loosing weight at it was supposed to be. So need to eat the foods that has most vits and minerals in it to dupport baby.
