fluffylady 27 Posted June 18, 2012 I'm so nervous. I know it's the right decision. I'm just afraid of pain and complications. Any pointers, advice ect. Do I need anything at the hosp? Good luck to all those whose surgery is this week. I will see y'all on the other side.
lynn 49 Posted June 18, 2012 Walk as soon as u can.... and keep walking the more u walk the sooner the gas will go away. And the sooner u will start passing gas which is good. Sent from my DROID RAZR using RNYTalk 1 DLCoggin reacted to this

bellepink77 44 Posted June 19, 2012 I was in a lot of pain walking was very hard for me so I timed my walks with my pain meds. Try not to cry it only makes the pain worse. I knew if I lost my composure I'd never get it back. I'm 7 days post op and still in pain but its much better a nd I haven't taken my pain meds today
atcgoddess1 37 Posted June 19, 2012 Good luck. Walk ASAP and as much as you can!! I did a ton of laps in the hospital. And every night since the night after I got home I have walked in the park for 30-45 minutes. I have to go sometimes at random times to walk. It's the only thing that helps with gas or stomach pains. 1 mamalovesfootball reacted to this
Katie 16 Posted June 19, 2012 Good luck! Prayers sent your way!!! Like everyone has said, walk as soon as you can. I got up the first night and it wasn't as bad as everyone had told me it would be. My only advice is to be careful and no heavy lifting. I did great the first time after surgery. But two weeks out and I had complications because of a tear. My fault, but still very painful. I was hospilitized for a week. And that time I was down. So just be careful!!

Beachbum 70 Posted June 19, 2012 Katie - can you talk more about your tear? Was it internal? An incision?
