KevinsBabyGirl85 364 Posted June 16, 2012 I too slept in the recliner for about 9-10 days then slept in the bed with a regular pillow and a body pillow.....thanks to my wonderful husband who went and got me a body pillow at the last minute!! 1 aleyampat reacted to this
Michelle96 13 Posted June 16, 2012 I slept on couch for the first few days then had to go into bed, couch wasn't comfy at all. I kind of slept on side and curled up with pillows as long as I took pain pills before bed I was fine till morning. It's the rolling over and forgetting that kicked my butt. My neighbor had the same surgery and slept in recliner for weeks.
mignonsmom 28 Posted June 16, 2012 I still go back and forth from sofa to bed and it has been a month. My body pillow is my best friend she follows me no matter where I sleep . I am thinking of giving her a name. Haha 1 aleyampat reacted to this

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted June 16, 2012 After reading all these posts I'm glad I bought a new recliner for my office LOL WE have them in the livingroom but, it's noisy out there. I'd never sleep, my dogs would keep me up. At least in the office I can shut the door so if everyone else is up, I can still sleep if needed.
lorid 13 Posted June 17, 2012 When I first had the lap band I slept in the recliner now that I'm going with the bypass I let my husband know I may be sleeping on the recliner. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
Panda 354 Posted June 17, 2012 I slept in my stomach in the beginning. I did this because back in the day when I was a paramedic they used to tell us to lay the person on the injured side because the pressure relieves the pain. And sure enough I slept like a baby! No pain or nothing til I rolled over. As long a I was flat on my stomach I was fine...just the rolling over part that was awful Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
