When was your surgery? I only throw up if I eat something tummy doesn't like. I hope it gets better, make sure you get your fluids.

I am three weeks post surgery and have vomited the past three days. I should be able to eat soft foods by now but every time I try anything off the diet guideline I was provided I end up belching and eventually throwing it all back up. I as well have felt woozy and moody. Hope it gets better.

That happens if I eat one bite too many or not chewing good enough or I eat too fast. It's getting better now that I'm getting to know my limits. Don't worry :)

I haven't thrown up once or felt sick since my surgery on May 1. Of course I have stopped losing and I'm very sad about that.

The only time I would vomit is when I ate too fast and/or did not chew my food well. My doctor told me when this happens to go back to liquid diet for a day or two to let everything calm down. It will pass, I hope you feel better soon. Take your time chewing and eating, take very small bites at first and chew-chew-chew, even with liquids baby sips. Feel better sweeite :)

I have not vomited yet, but I am so afraid of eating anything that might cause it. I am still doing soft food but added 5 min. Microwave talapia fish twice a day for Protein but I eat very slow. I am scared to vomit.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
