kmiller 146 Posted June 12, 2012 Ok, today is my anniversary and my hubby wants to take me to a steak house. Have any of you tried steak?
Jen in SoCal 189 Posted June 12, 2012 I have. Just take teeny tiny bites and chew like there's no tomorrow. I will even spit it into my napkin (very ladylike of course) if it feels like I can't chew it enough. May I suggest the filet mignon? Lol. Seriously, it will be the most tender. Good luck and happy anniversary!

kmiller 146 Posted June 12, 2012 Thank you, everyone! We went to a place called the Plaza III. It was very nice. I had the grilled chicken breast and mashed potatoes. I did fine, missed some of my favorites like the bread, but this is worth it! 2 berniec and dieseluncg68 reacted to this

LadyLocutus 41 Posted June 12, 2012 I even still have issues with chicken unless I dip it in something like mustard or sauce. Steak scares me still....truth be told I could live on lobster tail hahaha Onyx

kristaroberts 27 Posted June 15, 2012 Wow can't believe you are able to eat real food already! My doc says at least eight weeks! And I'm already behind by a week til my next stage . I was eating mostly "real food" from week three. I could not purée meat lol. I just couldn't eat it. So I just took little bites and chewed till I could chew no more. Lol. I'm now almost 8 weeks out and I eat whatever I want. I've had zero problems. As long as its little bites and chew like crazy
KevinsBabyGirl85 364 Posted June 15, 2012 Steak is mmm mmm good....mr. Pouchy loves him some steak....funny thing is before surgery I would never eat meat except hamburgers and hot dogs! 1 Jen in SoCal reacted to this
