where did you have yours done? and is all going well?

ROFLMAO! I wasn't paying attention to the date of this post and thought you had lost your mind! Teeheehee

You are such a success just a year out!

Good luck,

let me know how you do. Make sure you walk around the bed the house wherever and you should do fine. Even just getting up and using the restroom helps to get rid of the gas from the surgery. That sounds like the biggest complaint I have heard. As sound as you come out of the anestetic start waking around and getting up. Keep in touch and let me know if you have any questions for yourself. It has been 5 years since I had my surgery but I think I can still remember most.

Relovlee,

I'm sorry your husband has a different vision for you. Your health should be top priority. You need to be comfortable with how YOU choose to lose the weight. Is he uncomfortable with how you look currently? Is that why he is in a hurry?

There are a lot of risks with Roux-en-Y. I'd talk to your doctor and do some research to find out which surgery is best for you.

By the way, you may need a Tummy Tuck with a Lap Band too. It's more about the weight loss in general, not the surgery. You'll find several threads on here related to all sorts of plastic surgery due to the weight loss.

It doesn't matter how quickly or slowly you let the air out of the ballon, it's never going to be as small as it was before you inflated it.

But it's not about how quickly you get to the goal, it's how comfortable, how well you manage the process of getting to the goal fits your life.

Good luck.

Smack him! Then tell him you would like to have plastic surgery together.. maybe he could get a face lift... remove some of his love handles... um... or even a man boob lift... *evil giggle* see how he likes it! :cool2:

I think he loves you so much.. that he wants YOU to be happy.. and wants to do whatever it takes to help you achieve your goal.

Thanks girls for all of the wonderfully evil women comments( as we all need to be from time to time lol). He loves me youre so right but i think hes just being a little selfish but yet his argument is that hes afraid i will be unhappy with the results and that I'll regret doing the band. But honestly im so torn betw the 2 right now...im gonna let my surgeon decide...because Ive calculated and seems like its about 2 more risks with RNY than it is with the band. IDK!!! Girls I dont know what to do oh well atleast PCM referred me YAY! So im in the military's system theyre doin it if i get apprvd. I was overweight enough and it helps that i wore these european weight in my butt...hey i got away with it no one could even tell. But blood pressure was slightly elevated which it never is. So long story short going to seminar or class on 20th so we'll see. Why I need a class IDK i got u guys. DUh! TTYL girlies:thumbup:

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
