I am 4 weeks post op and am having your same issues. I had an upper gi yesterday, and I have extreme amounts of acid. I go to my surgeon tomorrow.

I didn't know acid would cause this but I did have GERD before the surgery.

I still have a problem getting all my Water in I get about 40-50 ozs of water in daily! I'm 5 months out!

Thank you. I had GERD before also. Right now I'm on a PPI and OTC meds for it. I am interested to see what they say tomorrow.

Also @purple, I take milk of magnesia every two days. This helps a ton.

I was also told to take sugar free milk of mag or metimucil to help.. Pain meds and protien are goin to reek havoc on our systems for a bit.. We can do this!!
