I have gotten up to 30 minutes on my walks. I have a gradual incline on my street which I have been walking up and then on they way back when of course I am much more tired I get to walk down hill which is nice. I was able to drink a Protein Shake for Breakfast and 2 tbsp of pudding for lunch. It's so hard to get in the Protein as there is no hunger but I know it's important. Sigh ....

Congratulations on walking more. I am able to walk and get my Water in but my Protein is not coming at all easy for me. I drink 4 oz of my shake go for another sip then wanta throw up. I was able to add extra protein to my shakes before surgery and now cant handle it no matter what temperature it is cant wait till puree foods so i can try to get it in that way.

The Protein is hard I agree. I did get in two shakes today which put me at my 60 grams but they make me feel so full I have to drink them really slow!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
