tstevens28 9 Posted June 7, 2012 Make sure you're getting in enough protien!!! Sometimes you need to eat a little more to see a drop.. But a lot could be muscle now. Measure yourself too- those numbers shrinking will make you feel good!! Good luck
Panda 354 Posted June 7, 2012 Hi guys I am new to this site but I am 5 weeks post op my surgery was April 30 and I have only lost 20lbs and I'm going to the gym every day but the scale is not moving but I can see it in my clothes but I would like to see it on the scale did anyone have this problem or is it just me?? 20 lbs. a month is great. Don't compare yourself to other peoples #'s. Its healthier to lose the weight more gradual over this 12 month period as opposed to dropping the bulk of it right off. You'll have less lose skin and always remember everyone loses at their own pace. Stick with your plan and you'll do fine...also set realistic goals and have realistic expectations. Bypass patients are actually expected to lose the weight over a one year period of time...its not a race. Patience is a virtue also congrats on the 20 lbs... ~Christi~ 54 Posted June 7, 2012 I understand completely how you feel. My surgery was on 4/20. I lost a bunch at first and now it just hanging on to the same 5 pounds. Keep your head up. Keep doing what you are supposed to do. This will work. I get down on myself sometimes too, but it only makes it worse. Congrats on the 20pounds and going to the gym. It will work.
