nomorefat 74 Posted June 6, 2012 Well it's one day post op. of course I came home 16 lbs heavier, and it was tough going from a morphine drip to Percocet , and all I do is sleep, drink, get up and move , go to the bathroom and then back again to sleep. I think so far I am actually doing good, and so glad to be home. Will try to keep everyone updated . 1 angelsmiln reacted to this

Ellie_Grace 271 Posted June 6, 2012 So is it normal to put on a lot of weight at the hospital? How much is normal and how soon does it go away? What causes that?
purpleamy 7 Posted June 6, 2012 Yes, I put on 10lbs! Even with the pre-op diet. I think it's normal and due to anesthesia and IV fluids.

nomorefat 74 Posted June 7, 2012 I feel pretty good today. Still sore and have gas pains, all bearable . Still taking pain Meds. Walked about a total of 30 mins through the house today, plan to get outside tomorrow and walk for 15 mins each time, only been able to walk for 5 mins at a time. Overall I feel like I am doing well

Jen2248 31 Posted June 8, 2012 I am home from hospital surgery was June 5. I'm very sore like someone kicked me right in the sternum. I also have noticed a rash and have a slight temp100.3 should I be concerned
nomorefat 74 Posted June 8, 2012 I had a slight temp the first couple of days to, just keep an eye on it. The sternum feeling was same as me, most likely bloating gas from Anesthesia. My surgery was 6/4. As of today, less bloated and less pain all the way around. If you have pain Meds. Take as directed for at least 3 days. Most of my pain was the day I came home and next day. Good luck and keep posting
