dwheelertn 2 Posted June 3, 2012 During the pre op, actually towards the end of it, did any of you find yourself to be on edge? Today my wife, friends, and I went to the mall and decided to grab a bite. Well, we all wound up at macaroni Grille. I was in there maybe three minutes and just got up and left. I dunno if it was my nerves but I couldn't sit there and bear to watch them eat. Has anyone ever felt this? I never thought I would feel this way about anything bit geez..... atcgoddess1 37 Posted June 3, 2012 I think that's a totally normal reaction. You didn't want to sit there and watch everyone eat while you couldn't. I'm sorry that you ended up in that situation. I luckily only had to follow the liquid diet the day before surgery. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my operation. I went out for the first time yesterday. I am at the soft stage diet now. I ate a meatball. Other than the waiter looking at my strangely, it was a good experience. I didn't feel deprived at all either. I don't know how to describe it, but I just don't want food like I did before surgery. You'll do great. Hang in there!!
