Surgery was a success. The nurses & doctors were all wonderful. I have discomfort & problems eating but I'm trying to get my Vitamins in & Water. I don't really have pain. My had to teach my kids real quick how to climb on the high chair so I can feed them. Thanks god they seem to understand no lifting.

Any questions feel free to ask? I had surgery on May 30th. I came home June 2th. I came quickly to post on the site but the site was gone. So I saud let me keep trying & Wala it's back & running. Ifk what I would do with out the support of this group.

Thanks I'm glad to be back also. I have discomfort but no pain. I'm going to go grocery shopping later. Need to buy diapers & food & food for me to eat. Btw I was raking off the liquid diet cuz it was making me vomit but solid food isn't any better when I can't or my body diesnt want to eat or drink.

I thank God I have a 15 year old daughter she helps me so much. Hubby lately started helping out so glad he did. It's hard sometimes, because my 2 year old wants to be carried, and right now I can't carry him,and he feels unlove, but it will pass. My 4 year old needs to check my boo boo every moment LMFAO. I love these kids they are so sweet.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
