Recovery Time?

I am just starting the process for having gastric bypass surgery. I am trying to determine how long I will be out after surgery. I know it is different for everyone, but I am just trying to get a general idea.....

Well I had surgery on may 16 I was out of the hospital by may 18 and I was shopping in Walmart on may 19 my surgery was pretty kool I have no pain I don't even take pain meds I'm back at the gym and back at work

My surgery was April 23rd. I didn't have any complications from surgery either. However I broke out in a rash all over and had a terrible cold and fever. I went in on a Monday and came home on Wednesday. That's only because I had a fever. I'd say after the first week I felt really good. My energy was back and I started exercising. I didn't even need pain medication when I got home.

I am glad everyone that responded had speedy recoveries. Are there those that had recovery times that were longer? What about complications after surgery?
