Hello my name is Lindsey. !'m 20 and i weigh 400 pounds. My goal weight is about 150 to 170. I just wanted to know if anyone lost 200+ pounds and how long it took. excess skin issue? shoe size? bras size? complications? preop conditions? post op results.

I would really like to see a before after picture

Pre surgery I was 405lb, now I'm 177lb. If it happens for you it will take some getting used to lol. I had to find a new center of balance & get used to no beinng able to "put my weight into it" like pushing someone's stalled car out of traffic...

Good luck! :o)

My doctor says it seems like men loose more, or faster only due to them being taller, biggest tip us to stay away from sugar drinks , and you would be suprised how many calories are in mixed alchol drinks. If you have any questions just ask

I am 24 and 380 lbs. I hear the younger you are the more skin and elasticity will help us out and working out to prevent flabbiness. When is your surgery

Just take it slow bro, you have your whole life ahead of you for that piece of steak!!! Don't rush through the stages. I ate split pea Soup 3 times a day for 2 months, mostly due to my taste buds being so wacky. Any questions just ask! I wish I knew of this app when I was going through it! Good luck bro!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
