Soft fish, scrambled or soft boiled eggs or egg substitutes, tofu, low fat cheese, low fat cottage cheese, soft cooked Beans, string cheese, low fat yogurt (no added sugar), creamy Peanut Butter (or other nut butters), canned chicken, canned tuna, canned salmon. Have you tried the Protein Bars? Pure Protein chocolate Deluxe bars are excellent. Don't forget to chew every bite 20-25 times.

About the only thing that I can think of was something I read on the forum yesterday. I believe it is called "Protein Shots" (not certain) available at Walmart. According to the post, 40g of Protein in a 3 oz bottle. I don't have any experience with the product but it sounds like it might be what you're looking for. Hope it helps!!

Found it. Here's the quote from the post...

"There are protein shots by New Whey. You get 21 grams of protein with half of a shot. It's only two ounces of Fluid. Walmart sells them for 2.48 a shot. You can order them online by the case for a little cheaper but it's a good way to get in your protein at first."

Absolutely not a problem!

DL, since so many people want a copy of this list perhaps you should make it a thread so everyone can share it?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
