So the last time I was at the dr in the beginning of April they said I weighed 199 and it's been almost 2 months since then I haven't lost as much as I thought I should a total of maybe 10 were lost, gained again, lost and according to my scale gained again!! I dont know what I'm doing wrong! I could have lost 5 lbs. a month by myself without surgery!! I just don't know what to do anymore it's just not happening for me :(

Could be period coming? Maybe it's muscles your getting from working out. Don't let it get to you. You know what I thought I wouldn't last 1 week on this duet & look it's only 12 pounds less but the scale is 199lbs not 211 so I feel super good. Saying no & still cooking 3 meals per day & sticking to my diet has been the hardest but you can do it girl. Count calories make sure you are taking all your Vitamins.< /p>

Does you Dr have a dietitian that works for him? Mine does and said if at anytime after surgery that you are not losing to call. Yes even years out. They will help us figure out what the problem is. Hope this helps.

R u still on Protein shakes? The nutritionist here said its best to try to wean off of the shakes and get your Protein from actual food. Eating your protein as opposed to drinking it helps speed up your metabolism....I most definitely would call your nutritionist if the practice you went to has one. Most definitely. Meantime hang in there and as I always say prayer changes things. I read an article recently about a lady that prayed her way thin! Don't know why I didn't think of that!

I've tried eating my protein but can't seem to get the recommended amount by food alone so I do drink 1 shake a day still! But most of my protein does come from my food!

I noticed in one of your other posts u said u eat three meals and a snack....I checked my "bariatric bible" and throughout it it says we should be eating 4 small meals. Maybe you aren't eating enough. Most of our protein comes from meat. I was told to eat that first then the veggies. Then there is beneprotein by carnation that can be mixed into your food to up the protein content. Hope some if my ramblings help. It saddens my heart to hear you're feeling like a failure when you have had an encouraging word for everyone on here. You are our role model. Please call your surgeons office so they can get you off of this plateau...we need you! Best wishes

Aww panda thanks so much..... Here lately I have been doing 4 meals because I feel hungry all the time! But I think I may have found out my problem I think my thyroid may be under active that's why I'm not loosing weight like I want to! Last time I went to the dr they tested my thyroid and the normal range is from 15-65 and mine was 24 which was on the lower end of the scale so what that being said I'm gonna call them today and see if I can't get in before my next appointment which isn't until the end of July and I don't want to keep not loosing weight! Please cross your fingers and hope that if it's anything it's my thyroid!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
