I already had insomnia before the suregery.I take Ativan but it does not help a bit now, I take s shorter every night to feel more relaxed. It's terrible going to sleep at 2 a,m and wake up at. 5. Panda 354 Posted May 22, 2012 I would say maybe talk to your Dr about your dose of meds. I believe its something with the mal absorption because my Claritin doesn't work like it used to. Instead if once every 24 hours it wears off waaay sooner than that. When I let the pill sit under my tongue and dissolve I get better results. Thank God Claritin isn't one of those grossly nasty pills! Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

Jen in SoCal 189 Posted May 22, 2012 Did you recently stop your pain meds? That can cause insomnia.

Because my allergies are making me miserable and the children's liquid is not effective. And crushing is a disaster. Are you taking D or regular? Thank you! Tbeiley 2 Posted May 23, 2012 If I'm not mistaken they also make a Claritin in sublingual form for kids. That should work but perhaps increase the dosage.. Good luck to you.
