nish 102 Posted May 20, 2012 Hello everyone! On Wednesday May 16, after attending a seminar on the three different surgeries, i have made my decision to go with the gastric bypass instead of the band. I am 36 years old - 5'3 - weight lately ranges from 244.6-251.2. I have tried it all cleanses, weight watchers, lean cuisine meals, even after I lost the initial weight (lowest 180) I could never take anymore off even with exercise. I would maintain but nothing else. I have struggled with my weight since I was 17 So 20 of feeling very uncomfortable with my body I am going to do it. From what I gather the criteria for my insurance is to: Start seeing physician once a month for the next 6 months which is Wednesday, then then surgeon approved dietician on July 3. If I have to do the 6 months of seeing the physician then I am projecting a surgery date approx around the middle of December. I have two daughters one 19 the other 5, full time job and starting Grad school in August. Yes it is like me to pile the plate so high I am pecking over the top. But I know that if I don't make this change I am going to just get bigger and Bigger and BIGGER! Looking for the support from this community to continue on! Would like to feel comfortable and beautiful! Nish
