dieseluncg68 8 Posted May 19, 2012 When I had the lapband I loved chicken. So with the rny what kinds of meats digest well? Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
artistapril 5 Posted May 19, 2012 Yeah chicken does not work with my pouch always gets stuck! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk Have you tried ground chicken? I use ground chicken in place of ground beef in my house for nearly everything (chili, tacos, etc). I've had problems with regular chicken breast with my lapband but been ok with ground. Hope I don't have issues after my revision to RNY. I don't always trust the ground chicken in the store so I usually pick out nice chicken breasts, take it to the butcher and have them grind it down so I know what I'm getting. Being in Kuwait, I don't always trust the stickers that say boneless/skinless. Labels out here are terribly inaccurate.

kizzy 99 Posted May 19, 2012 I bought a ton of Protein Shakes be fore I had surgery I decided to buy some popsicle makers today and make some Popsicles out of them because just drinking protien everyday is very boring.
DLCoggin 1,788 Posted May 19, 2012 I love fish and turkey in addition to chicken. All three are loaded with Protein but especially the fish. Even canned tuna - 7 oz can has 39g of protein. Shrimp is another great source of protein. We always keep some in the fridge. Tilapia and salmon are also good choices. There is an amazing variety of turkey things out there too - turkey sausage, turkey bacon, turkey kielbasa, ground turkey, turkey Soups - all very rich in protein and I found them to be surprisingly good! LadyLocutus 41 Posted May 19, 2012 Canned tuna and salmon have been great for me. They are both high in Protein and they go down well with fat free mayo and mustard. As far as the shakes I bought the Ninja blender and I use soy milk and ice in my shakes and sugar free Torani syrups so that makes then good too!
