I'm new to this forum. I started my journey on March 15 when i had my first visit with my pcp. I've been through all the classes and I'm approved. I go Monday to find out my surgery date. So excited. Hope there is not a long wait for that. Feels like its been forever already. Everything has gone very smoothly so far that I'm just waiting for something to go wrong. Well hello again to everyone.

Isn't it great to get the approval letter !!! My surgery is 6/2/12, I almost feel like it will be a new birthday. My surgeon would have done me within 2-3 weeks of approval, but I chose to wait til schools was out for My so. Who is 10. I am looking forward to the hard work. Good luck to you and welcome

Great. I had mine May 17 but it took 8 months for my insurance to approve.

Wow 8 months. I'm so glad I didn't have to wait that long. Your only a week or so out from surgery. How did it go? How do you feel now?

This is my second time the first time was 16 years ago. This time much easier because it was done as a closed procedure. I get tired but Protein helps a lot. But I am driving and going back to work on day 12. too weak to do the gym but I am going to try curves gym on Tuesday. Also 275lbs in 2-2012 doing diet presurgery to now 231lbs.
