Guest Cynder7 Posted August 10, 2004 Hello All, I'm a newbe. I was banded 7/21/04, my band has no fill and am doing great. The first two weeks were difficult. Were any of you dizzy and weak? Now all is well and I have energy. It's amazing, I've even began to exercise (walk) but it is a start. I'm not terriable hungry, although it is a new sensation to feel hunger pains. I think about food all the time. I guess it's due to the liquid and mush diet. I'm measuring my food closely and do not intake more than 4oz. during my meals and do not snack in between meals. However, I'm concerned because I don't feel full..I make myself stop, but I fell like I could eat more. Is this normal to fill minimum restriction without a fill? I'm drinking lots of Water 2 hours after meals and that helps. My doctor has scheduled the first fill for 8/13/04. Do you feel more satisfied after a fill. New Hope 37 Posted August 10, 2004 Cynder, are you drinking, drinking, and then drinking again? In this heat, it's really easy to get dehydrated! I had the super dizzy, weak problem, too. But once I got into the routine of drinking so much, it got better. If you get tired of plain Water, try mixing Water w/ Lite cranberry juice. It gives you a little variety (and it's cheap). I felt some restriction without a band, also. I waited 2 months before I got my first fill. Some days I feel like I could eat a horse, then other days - restriction. The band seems very unpredictable. You're still getting over your surgery, so please don't push yourself on exercise. Start out with baby steps and you'll be surprised at how quickly you'll be doing more and more and feeling better. When you start noticing your clothes getting too baggy, you'll be so happy! I thought about food all the time, too. (After all, food was our "friend" (ha! ha!) for so long.) I think it's a process we all go through after banding. Best of luck to you!
