After I came home I was told the only pain mess I could take we're liquid Vicodin. I developed a head to toe rash from it' date=' and I called the doctor. Doc said there is no other pain med I could take. I itched my way through the bottle. Now a week after it has cleared up, but I am left with insanely dry skin. My legs (inner thighs) tummy, back... Well, every part but my face is so dry it hurts. I put on lotion, and it burns like fire. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it? I'm going crazy![/quote']

Try aveno products I got terrible eczema after surgery it was all that would help it was around my eyes an face and all over my body lasted nine months before I found aveno worked the derma doc couldn't even help

See and this seems to be a real problem for some people. But when I called my doc today he said he's never heard of that problem. It really sucks because it feels like paper. It feels like its dry deep into my skin. Doc says just wait it out. But that's easy for him to say when I feel like a piece of beef jerky!

This is the first I have heard of this type of problem. Sounds terrible, I hope something works for you soon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
