chaotica 96 Posted May 14, 2012 After I came home I was told the only pain mess I could take we're liquid Vicodin. I developed a head to toe rash from it, and I called the doctor. Doc said there is no other pain med I could take. I itched my way through the bottle. Now a week after it has cleared up, but I am left with insanely dry skin. My legs (inner thighs) tummy, back... Well, every part but my face is so dry it hurts. I put on lotion, and it burns like fire. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it? I'm going crazy!

baltomomma79 5 Posted May 14, 2012 I cant believe ur doc would not give u a different pain med. I am allergic to percocet the standard pain med they give out and he gave me dilaudid. Worked out much better. I have excema so I use Either a aveno or eucerin for my dry skin. Can be pricey but worth it. Also switching to non scented soap or body was for a while may help. 1 chaotica reacted to this
eglean2 24 Posted May 15, 2012 I agree with mamma79. Try a body wash with a moisturizing additive like aveno oatmeal. Now that the meds are done it sure clear right up 1 chaotica reacted to this

chaotica 96 Posted May 17, 2012 Oh wow! I never heard of that! I will have to try that. I took a bath in baby oil and still dry as sandpaper. Okay, this is going to sound like a stupid question but I place that right on my skin?
RaleighNC 37 Posted May 17, 2012 From what I understand you dab it in the effected area. I've heard it's fantastic for sunburn.
chaotica 96 Posted May 17, 2012 I'm dry from head to toe... I wonder what a case costs LOL. I just took a cold shower to keep from drying out more. It feels like a sunburn :'(. I am drinking Water like crazy, I just pray it goes away soon. Thank you for letting me know, because I would have taken it by mouth and wondered why I was still dry :')
