RaleighNC 37 Posted May 17, 2012 It took me about 5 weeks before I had my first feeling of being hungry. Focusing on your proton is the most important thing. Just follow your nutritionist schedule for relearning to eat and you will be found. .

Although I am deemed as judgemental simply because I expressed my opinion, I find it very interesting that many are doing exact that. In addition to pretzels and chocolate covered raisins I also miss Bojangles Friedha chicken. Having the grilled chicken from the sandwich simply is not the same. LadyLocutus 41 Posted May 17, 2012 Great advice 3 weeks since surgery I am afraid to do anything I know I don't eat enough advice What helps me is to keep a log of what I'm eating and since it's tough to eat a lot, find things that are really high in Protein so you get all your Protein but eat less. Like yesterday I had a lobster tail. It's kinda small but had 35g of protein! Hope that helps hon Onyx

I fully expect to be using it (or some app) for the rest of my life. The ability to see where you're at anytime, anywhere is a very powerful tool. I know lots of folks use "My Fitness Pal" and I've never read a bad review. Fish, turkey and chicken are pretty tough to beat when it comes to getting your protein. chaotica 96 Posted May 17, 2012 I miss burgers, and the funny thing is I didn't really eat them much before the surgery. I have found a wonderful snack full of Protein. Soy Beans in the pod, they come in a little snack size (meal size for post ops) bag you throw in the microwave to steam. After they are done just sprinkle with seasoning of choice and pop em out of the pod! Wonderful texture and taste!
