kellybarbs 3 Posted May 5, 2012 He past few nights when I'm sleeping I wake up to pins and needed in the outside upper thigh of either leg. Anyone else? Could it be a pinched nerve?
Yodelania 60 Posted May 5, 2012 Watch out those sxs very carefully, it could be DVT (Deep Vein Trombosis aka blood clot) specially if you're post-op. Watch for the following sxs; • Swelling in one or both legs • Pain or tenderness in one or both legs, which may occur only while standing or walking • Warmth in the skin of the affected leg • Red or discolored skin in the affected leg • Visible surface veins • Leg fatigue If so I would say go straight to your MD and if not available go straight to ED!!! Takecare!!!!

mary818 66 Posted May 5, 2012 Yes, I agree with the others, please check with your doctor as you are not that long post op. Better to play on the safe side.
kellybarbs 3 Posted May 5, 2012 Thanks everyone. I checked with my sister who is an nurse amd she assured me that I wouldn't have it in both legs and it sounds more circulatory. I will check with my doc last week. I am/ was morbidly obese so she things it was to do with nerves and weight.
