Panda 354 Posted June 12, 2012 I'm having doubts lately about having surgery. There is nobody that is talking me out of it except myself. Since march I have lost over 20 lbs on my own. I will however finish all my preop requirements so that if I change my mind in the near future I'll be able to get it done. I wish you all the best. I don't know your weight or weight goal but people do it all of the time without bypass...I'm just not one of them. I'm so happy that your 6 month pre authorization stage is working for you. pointer 92 Posted June 13, 2012 To all who don't have a support system. I would do it anyways for yourself. I could've have my surgery in 2008 but I didn't because I had no real support system. Now 2012 regretting it and much heavier. So starting my program all over and doing it this time. Also now all these years later they wanna support me. I could have be at my goal and happy. Thank you for being there for me, and for each other. I think you are making the right decision. People should have surgery when they feel ready. You can get a dietician that will help you lose weight,and I think you will do just fine if you lost 20pounds with out any problem. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

john 181 Posted June 16, 2012 Everybody is different . Some people regret the surgery . The surgery was a must for me . The complications from obesity are WAY WORSE then the surgery.
