Thank you all. I want to remain positive but I think when I don't see the scale move I am back in my mind to the way it was before surgery.

The scale had not moved for me in over a week but I keep having people tell me how much they notice the loss. I am doing lots of excercising & I am sure I am not getting enough of my liquids in. It is so hard!

I will do it too! I did weigh myself today. My husband set up his racing scale for me today :) I was curious how much I lost, my starting weight was questionable due to the fact that the week of surgery I get PMS and my cycle. It made for a crazy hospital stay. It was hard to determine what was menstrual pain/side effects and surgery side effects.

So I may drop weight quickly at first due to that issue.

Kmiller,

I had my surgery Tuesday as well! I came home Friday though. Did you have issues or just wanted to be careful?

I was an open surgery so I had staples to deal with. I quickly discovered that I became lactose intolerant, but that's ok. I came home on Thursday, and went to my granddaughters dance recital the next night.

Congrats to everyone on their progress and for those of you who didn't see a loss just remember that your body's weight can fluctuate daily and muscle weighs more than fat. Also just be proud of yourself for taking this step to a healthier you and don't compare yourself to others, we all lose at different rates. Good luck!

Thank you for those words of encouragement... because its so easy to compare yourself to others then thus the discouraged feelings when your weight loss isn't as great or fast as theirs. Those words were words very relevant to how I so often feel. Thank you soooooo much

Today's weigh in was 314....lost a pound. Even though it's a pound I am going to Praise the Lord for His strength and for His blessings. Woo hoo! Even if it's 1 at a time I am happy!

Remember everyone, if you lose 1 pound, that's 4 sticks of butter gone. That's good. 1 pound a week is still 52 pounds in a year.

I haven't done the weekly weigh in but have lost 9.4kgs (20.7lbs) since I started this journey four weeks ago. And 6kgs (13.22lbs) since my op on May 8th. Weight is moving slowly,.... It feels like but still going down. Still got a way to go yet but excited about the changes.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
