Tbeiley 2 Posted April 18, 2012 Hi, my name is Tracy & I'm addicted to Diet Pepsi. I have been cutting back for 5 months and now have been soda free for 7 days! The headaches were rough. I'm pre op waiting for insurance approval with tentative surgery date either May 1st or the 15th. Just waiting for that positive phone call to come. So was wondering about Talking Rain sparkling Water. Zero calories, no carbs, but it is sparkling so it's carbonated. What about letting it go flat a bit before drinking. Is that okay after surgery? What about now during preop. Doc wants me off soda, is this sparkling naturally flavored water a no no too? Thanks in advance for your feed back.
zephyr 48 Posted April 18, 2012 I'm allowed to have flat ginger ale after surgery so I would assume you can have flat sparkling Water. To be sure though I would ask my doctor. 1 Tbeiley reacted to this
hazeleyez 3 Posted April 18, 2012 Hi my name is Donna and I'm post op for 19 months now and I was told by my surgeon to leave all of the carbonated stuff alone because it takes up room in your pouch.
kmiller 146 Posted April 18, 2012 Do you not like any of the flavored waters without carbonation? The fruit 20 is really good, and so is propel.
barbieboo 1 Posted April 18, 2012 Special K Water mixes are good and have 5g of Protein. Carbonated beverages stretch the pouch and you don't want to do that. Peppermint tea was my go to after ditching coffee and caffeine 8 years ago. I had GB in January of this year. Good Luck
