Txsmama 22 Posted April 10, 2012 I am 6 days post op, I get a pain or ache in my pouch when I drink Water or something thin. But don't get that sensation when I have something thicker. Anyone else have this issue?
diddle106 71 Posted April 12, 2012 When I read your post I thought of my situation with thinner liquids. I don't get a pain, but if I drink Water, plain water, even if it's just a swallow to take meds I feel like its gonna come back out. But if I have crystal light in it I'm fine. Not sure why my body hates plain water now. I'm not sure what your ache is, I've never read anything else like this, but maybe someone else has. I hope this gets better and is just a short phase. Good luck
Anjela424 23 Posted April 15, 2012 I too get a sort of pain when drinking water...almost like its stuck there and takes a few minutes to really go down....and I'm always so thirsty and have the urge to gulp but I take the sips....I wonder why that is. If you ever get an answer, please let me know
Anjela424 23 Posted April 15, 2012 What do you use for Protein?
Txsmama 22 Posted April 15, 2012 I use Isopure unflavored Protein, and I love it. It mixes pretty easily into whatever I put it in. I discovered that really cold things made my pouch ache. And I was drinking too big of sips and too quickly. My pouch hasn't ached since I've slowed down and switched to luke warm liquids.
Anjela424 23 Posted April 17, 2012 Im going to try that. Have you heard of any good tea that doesn't require sugar? I miss tea a lot lol
