buffalogal 52 Posted April 1, 2012 I'm just starting my classes and will probably have surgery in July. One concern I have is that I won't be able to continue eating natural, less processed foods. Does anyone have experience with this, or advice?

RaleighNC 37 Posted April 15, 2012 My doc was very conservative about returning to solid foods. I followed his orders strictly and have not had any problems returning to raw veggies or nuts. You will have to learn to eat very slow and chew chew chew till whatever you are having is like applesauce. Things will be fine as long as you follow the docs instructions. Good luck! buffalogal 52 Posted April 15, 2012 Thanks for the response. I'm pretty psyched about it, but then I come across some nightmare stories and I get worried.
RaleighNC 37 Posted April 15, 2012 The nightmare stories are what made me move very slow during returning to food. Just stay focused on not damaging your new tummy and you will do fine. The only thing that I have discovered that does not agree with me is a pork shop. It sits really heavy in my tummy. I tried them twice with the same result so I will simply not have them any more. For every nightmare tale there are prolly 20 successes! Good luck with your journey.
