beth423 33 Posted March 30, 2012 Did you have to have weight watchers or anything like that??
Txsmama 22 Posted March 30, 2012 Yes, I had to write down all the diets that I have tried before. I hadn't done weight watchers though. I also had to do a nutrition class on base for 3 months prior to surgery.
beth423 33 Posted March 30, 2012 I have done weight watchers but never supervised by a doctor. I am worried they will deny me for surgery and my insurance runs out in May. I have it through my dad.
Txsmama 22 Posted March 30, 2012 Usually if you have done weight watchers they may wave the nutrition classes. but that is dependent on each facility. I am not sure about going through civilian hospitals. It has taken me nearly 1 year to get to the surgery. I am afraid it sounds like it may be too late. MBallard 0 Posted March 31, 2012 Ugh 6 months. I hope that's not the case I was hoping to have it done by July. We're not moving until June 1st so right now I'm in the process of getting all my drs paperwork and other documentation in order. Making appts before we get down there etc. tricare has been very helpful, but I feel like when I call I always get a different answer from each person I talk to. brokenpinkwings 0 Posted April 3, 2012 I have tricare overseas and I hear it's alot diff in the states but all they needed was info from my mouth. Bmi and they wanted to know how long I dieted. It went through in a week. I have heard its easier to get done over here but idk. Tricare is pretty good at getting stuff done!
