I can eat small ants of rice' date=' but no noodles. I have problems with bread and Tomato based sauce...no Italian for me. Cereal is bad too. Can't do fresh raw veges and several cooked ones either.[/quote']

I've heard about tomato sauce. I love Italian food. What can you eat?

I was feeling the same way with regret but now that I am finally able to eat some things and have more choices it is better. The isopures do not taste like Protein drinks' date=' more like gatoraide.

Have you tried purée cottage cheese. It worked for me and was on my full liquid list. I also like the sunkist Protein Shots grape flavor. Taste like grape real grape not the fake taste.[/quote']

Ok I will try them. I don't like cottage cheese. Where do you get the Protein shots from.

Has anyone had trouble with thin liquids? I absolutley love Water and 1% milk but everytime I sip even the smallest sip, I feel pain. I'm on my 3rd day out so I'm wondering if it is just because my stomach is still brand new. However, I can handle cream of wheat and Tomato Soup well.

Right after my surgery I had the same problem lasted about a week. Everytime I would drink anything my pouch would hurt. I just kept sipping and it did get better.

I tried canned chicken tonight with mayo fresh garlic, minced onions, and chopped boiled egg. It went really well. Really would have loved a few crackers with it but I was full to fast.

YAY!!! I'm so happy you can get some chicken down. I had my blood drawn today and they said my Protein levels are dangerously low right now.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
