berniec 166 Posted March 20, 2012 Hello everyone. I just came across this site and it is so informative. Thank you all for the info. I'm scheduled to have my bypass surgery on April 23, 2012. I'm excited and scared at the same time. My surgeon and therapist says that's normal. I have thought about this for 2 years. I finally decided it was time. My health issues really persuaded me to go through with it. I have sleep apnea, high blood pressure and asthma. My current weight is 297 pounds. Thanks again and I will keep updating. waligan 0 Posted March 20, 2012 Hi, my op is on the 16 April - i think that if you were not nervous there would be a problem - good luck
KevinsBabyGirl85 364 Posted March 20, 2012 Yep I agree my dr said its completely normal to be scared and he actually told me if I was 100% ready and I could tell him I wanted surgery that day he said he wouldn't do my surgery because being scared, anxious, nervous those are all normal for going through a huge surgery like this!
