tataliz03 0 Posted February 25, 2012 I had Lapland almost 2 years ago I lost a 30 pounds then it started to bug me. The only way I could eat anything was standing up because nothing would go down it was a nightmare. So I talk to my Dr he suggested gastric bypass I was scared to get anything moved in me.but I got it done anyway.I am now 11 days post op and very happy I'm losing almost 2 pounds a day.but it's not easy to see my family eat normal food while I'm still on liquid diet all I think about is skinny, skinny, skinny. daniela 0 Posted March 2, 2012 Hi. I had the gastric bypass 8 days ago and i am also losing about 2 to 3 pounds a day but it is so hard for me. I find myself being very hungry and watching my family eat is also hard. Is anyone else finding that they are hungry???
Yodelania 60 Posted March 7, 2012 In glad to hear that you are losing weight...and yes I guess I'll have the same problem of looking my fam member eating normal food but as long as I don't feel hungry I know I'll be okay....but what I don't understand how can Daniela feel hungry? When according to my surgeon the 1st year after surgery the pt will not get hungry (that will be a scary situation for me....and yes I hope to have the same thought in my mind *Skinny~Skinny~Skinny*
trynagain 0 Posted March 10, 2012 This exact thing happened to me. I dealt with it for 2 years. Standing just to get. Burping just to help the food pass. Whenever I bent over food fell right out. They said scar tissue underneath my bad was the issue. I finally got it removed. And had my surgery almost 2 weeks ago. I'll be on straw diet for 5 more weeks.
