Guy Walker 0 Posted January 1, 2012 Last week I puffed on a cigar for a minute in celebration of my buddies new daughter. For the last two days I have developed a painful cough and my chest/windpipe burns like I sucked Water into my windpipe. My surgeon did a preop chest xray Friday but the cough got bad on Friday night I'm thinking maybe start of bronchitis or just coughing due to post nasal drip and irritation due to cigar smoke (Ex-smoker 3 years the cigar really burned my chest I inhaled like a dummy). Should I call my Surgeon and postpone or is this something I should not worry about. I think I may have had a fever Friday night and felt very sick but not really feeling sick since then just painful cough.

HPF 0 Posted January 7, 2012 Hi Guy, I hope your cough is better and your surgery went well. You might not have gotten any replies because this board looks to me like it is mostly populated by women. I am male and starting the process toward surgery, you and I can represent the men here!
