MariaEnid27 5 Posted May 31, 2012 114 pounds is amazing! It's inspiring! I'm getting so nervous...my surgery is a week from today. I pray I do as well as you have. You are going to do great, be proud of yourself to make the steps towards the right direction! I'm here if you need any questions answered. I was lucky to have quite a few people I new who had the surgery before me, and I love to help others the same.
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted June 2, 2012 WEll my surgery has been post-poned I'm so upset. INsurance denied for the 2nd time....they now want a medical release from my PCP who is on vacation until 6/12. The covering MD won't give me one saying my own PCP has to do that. I've been hopeing for a miracle today but, didn't hear anything from the surgeon. I was hoping they would have a chance to talk to the covering MD again but, doesn't sound like it. I guess my new date is 7/11. I'm really upset about it but, there isn't anything I can do. So I guess it's onward and upward until I get that release. I see my PCP now on 6/22, I better get the release and then the insurance approval this time around (sigh)
My2ndChance 9 Posted June 2, 2012 I started the process on May 1st. I don't know how long it usually takes, but I anticipate another month or two before the surgery. Any tips, or recommendations would be much appreciated.
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted June 4, 2012 Depends on your bariatric groups requirements and insurance requirements. Some insurances want diet programs for a certain amount of months as well.
