Is the Biotin chewable?

I haven't found a chewable, but I guess I was long enough post surgery that I was allowed to swallow a small pill.

My surgery was 2 years ago, and I started taking it about 6 - 8 months post op.

I did see some Biotin that was small gel type pills...but wasn't sure we could take those. I'll have to ask my surgeon if I see my hair falling out.

I was told that Hair loss happens between 4-9 months. Going to hope that mine not too bad. I think that's a scary prospect.

It took about 4-6 months before it started growing back in. Be patient. Everyone assured me it would happen, and it did. I know how scary and awful it is when it is happening to you.

When I had my lapband I went through losing hair after about 3 months post op. It slowed down and eventually stopped though. My hair didn't get really thin so I was lucky with that. Seems that it's all grown back after it too.

Ok, ladies and guys! I am a slump! I have not moved for about 3 weeks. I am fluctuating between 205 to 202. I eat about every 3 to 4 hours. I am getting discouraged. I know I should be excited because of the major accomplishment in the past six month but now I a not moving. I know I able to eat more. But I am stillin eating the same foods. I am also hungry. I am working out by training for this 1/2 marathon. I am averaging 80 carbs and about 100 protien, with 1000 to 1100 calories. I don't want to stretch my pouch. Please help me!!!

Losingit has a great idea - see your nutritionist if you're getting discouraged. "Slumps", "stalls", "plateaus" - all part of the process and they will pass. Just keep following the protocol and let the weight take care of itself. Whenever I run into a bump in the road, I commit to staying away from the scales for at least two weeks. The results usually put a smile on my face. I firmly believe that weighing too often can sabotage your commitment. Stay focused, stay active and stay committed - you'll be in "onederland" before you know it!!

DL I agree with you and hope when I'm on the other side of the journey I can keep that in mind as far as staying off the scale all the time. Thanks for that!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
