Some days I feel fat, even if everyone around me tells me I look good. I don't know how to explain, but I feel just like I felt 7 months ago before surgery. Just ugly and big.

I too feel the same way... I've gone from being in the 240's to now 6 months po weight 150 and have those heavy days too. I know I'm. Not but perhaps it'll take as long for me to realize I'm thinner as it took me years and years to realize how big I had actually gotten. It's such a mind *! #k.

I think we all can relate to this. I'm 10months out today, and am down from 439 to 264 and i have a hard time seeing myself as a smaller person. Even through my cloths get to big and I have to buy more, its not until I see my side by side photos that it finally its me.

I'm sure I will struggle with this too! It's insecurity and just being used to being big for so long. You all look beautiful and should be proud of yourselves! I'm hoping to be there soon! November!!!

These photos are from the day I entered the hospital for surgery, dec 4th 2014, and today!! I'm 5'6. I started at about 250 pre-op and am now 121 lbs.

Pretty sure I've reached goal although I feel like I may go to 115 for some bounce range. Losing very slow now.

It's quite a ride!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
