2 weeks post op, I have these bursts of crying sessions. Anyone else?

Lately I have been an emotional wreck and I'm about 6.5 months out. I have a lot going on like trying to get a new job and just dealing with realationships, and today I concluded that my hormones are all out of whack.

Mine is like I'm hormonal. People just say the wrong thing I cry, someone it comes out of nowhere. I didn't even have these emotions with my hysterectomy. I just don't get it.

In my classes, they told us to that estrogen is held in fat cells and that when we lose fat, we release that estrogen. They said to expect emotional ups and downs post surgery. Hang in there!!

Totally normal to be emotional after surgery. And yes, it is hormonal. I was even crying for commercials. LOL.

This is exactly why I'm here. So glad I decided to find some online support. As you can tell, I'm totally new. First post ever. But the raw emotions have me pretty freaked out. I never realized just HOW dependent I was on food for my emotions, and BAM. Now that I'm not eating like that, I'm faced with dealing with everything with no crutch. Feel like I've given up everything I found pleasure in, my coffee, soda, food, carbonation in general (can't even have that beer). ARG.

I dream about food that's how bad I've for it. I wish they would've removed the part of my brain that craves food

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
