fear band to sleeve

Recommended Posts

So my story is that I had a lapband and it was giving me lots of issues and lets be honest, I challanged it. I ate pieces that were too big and ate too fast. I really tried but failed. And when I did try I wss not loosing. I mafe a decision and had it removed. My fear is that if I get a sleeve I will do same. Did anyone else have this issue? If I am a fast eater and big biter sleeve will not be successful for me.

Well in time with the sleeve you will be able to eat all the slider foods. This can cause you to gain weight. It is better than the band in that you will be able to eat chicken, fruits, yogurt or foods that you may not have been able to with the band. To be sleeved you will always have to have some form of self control or you will be able to gain weight back.

I had my band removed in April and last night I had a toast and this morning I feel it in my chest. I am sure I still have scar tissue.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
